The Kings Man from 2021 is the prequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service from 2014 which is kinda crazy if you think that the prequel comes 7 years after the original dropped. At least this is not in the Star Wars universe because this could have been a wait for a long time. I am truly happy that this was not a similar situation.

When we jump into the film we are in the past when The Kings Men were just starting. We get to see how the organization got started. Watching it kind of reminds me of the Star Wars trilogy. The first two movies are kind of like the middle trilogy focusing on Luke and the Kings Man is like the first trilogy focusing on Anakin. Now that I got the Star Wars references out of the way let’s dive into this story. This is a parent and child move you have the father who is a man who has seen war in his life. From the life he lived, he was exposed to a world that took his wife from him and his son. In response to this, he retires for taking an active role in the upfront world of conflict. And he tries to shield his son from it so that he would be able to keep him safe. Form this mission that he takes on it eventually leads him to create the Kingsman organization.
This was an incredible film and I am happy that I was able to see the origin of this fictional organization. There is a tone of action in this film and as we all know I love a great action sean. In the first Kingsman film, it was the bar fight and the church fight, the second film had the fight at the enemies’ headquarters with Elton John. And for me, the film has the knife fight on the battlefield at night. So as you can see this film has a lot to offer, if you have not seen The Kings Man yet please do it is worth the watch. I am sure that you can find it on your favorite streaming app.

Have you seen the Venom film from 2018, well I have and it was better than I thought it was going to be? When I first started the film I was not that into it. The beginning was kinda slow, I don’t mind a slower film beginning because it sets everything up that will be coming. But it kinda turned me off at first. 

After the film got going it picked up and turned into something that I wanted to see what would happen next. The moment that Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) gets the Symbiote the film picks up because this is when things start to get fun. Before this point, Eddie is a good guy but he is kinda boring. As Eddie goes through his transformation Eddie becomes more interesting I am more invested in the character now. Is he going to die is he going to be able to control the Symbiote or will it destroy him from within? 

So there are a few questions that need to be answered in the next film because of course they are going to be a few things to set up a Sony Marvel Univers because why not. In a world where we can see The Main Marvel Universe with films spanning a decade, why not do the same and make your own if it works. I am not going to condemn them for that because I win in this game. I get to see my favorite heroes and villains in live-action, it is truly a drem come true.

Now for some more bad. The final boss fight was ok. When I watch it it was just ok it was not bad but it did not feel like a do-or-die situation. In my opinion, it could have been better but it was good enough and sometimes that is all we need to bring us back. No film no matter how much we love the original incarnation will never have something that will live up to the standard that we hold in our minds and hearts. So I can go to see an ok film because I know that there is a possibility that the next film can be better if love and respect are put into it.

The New Mutants is not what you think it is and I don’t know if that is a good idea or a bad idea. From watching it I feel lost I don’t know how it is connected to the X-Men Universe. When I think back on the film is see more of Logan in it than X-Men, it does not fit in with the X-Men Universe that we know. What can I say about this film, it was good but it was forgettable. I do know what to think about it. When I watch this film I left me wanting something, I wanted to see how it connect to the rest of the universe. I think it could have been better if it was released when it was supposed to be released instead of years after the film was completed. If that would have happened it could have been incorporated into the X-Men universe and expanded upon.

This is just a one-off fill if there are any plans for the future of The New Mutants it could be possible with the right scrip. Since the story takes place in this hospital type of facility we never get to see the outside world other than in flashbacks. That little fact can be very helpful for the next film if we ever get it. Ultimately I just want a good story something that I can watch and forget about everything around me. I think that with the right amount of imagination it can be done. It is a world that can be so much more.

The actors and actresses all did an amazing job making me believe that they were from this world. From all the knowledge that I have gained from the consumption of so many fill from many different genres, I feel confident in saying that the acting was done well. It takes a tone of courage to put yourself out there and to act in a film that will possibly be seen all around the world. So I respect and appreciate the work that everyone did to make this the best film that they could and it comes across to me when I watched it.
In the final moments of the film, we see the kids make it out of the facility that they were being held in and go out to face the new world. What is going to happen next for The New Muantas who knows maybe one day we will find out and hopefully have the actors come back and take the character on once again.

2021 is the year for new movies and I am happy that I finally saw The Suicide Squad. This movie was hilarious in a lot of random ways. There was a large amount of dark humor and great acting in this movie. The first thing that I want to say is that John Cena was hilarious and I don’t expect that. I am not the biggest John Cena fan but he did an amazing job in his role as Peacemaker. Now I don’t want to take anything from all the other artists in this production. Because everyone did an amazing job.

So let’s talk about what happened in this movie, the big bad for The Suicide Squad was Starro. Starro is a giant starfish from space that has psychic powers and uses a hive mind. I was excited to see Starro in this film. I have seen a tone of Justice League and other DC properties over the years and Starro always pops up. Although it is usually portrayed with more intelligence. That is not something that I am upset with because if Starro was more like his intelligent counterpart The Suicide Squad would have not been able to defeat it.
There is a lot to love about this film, when I think back on the experience all that I can remember is joy. When Peacemaker and Bloodsport enter the camp to save Rick Flag crazy and funny. When Harly Quine makes her escape it looks amazing. To be honest, when I think back on the film scene after scene enters my mind, I would end up recounting the entire film. I will be getting an opportunity to watch the spin-off HBO Max show Peacemaker when it finally comes to the end of the season so that I can binge-watch the entire season. I am all in with this thing that AT&T is doing with the DC Universe, I just hope that it can stay this good.

Mortal Kombat 2021 is the movie that I finally got to see this weekend. And my thoughts on it are as follows. I liked it but I do have my complaints about it too. The movie was just ok to me. The action was good and it looked nice but it would have looked better if Sub-Zero was not freezing everything. The story was ok as well. After watching it, I don’t feel connected to the characters, I don’t feel interested in their stories. When I think back on it I thought that Scorpion would play a larger part in the movie instead of a spot at the beginning and end of the movie. It makes me think that Scorpion was just a way to link the past to the present. It is almost like two movies came together to make one. 

What is Scorpion’s past what has he been doing in the afterlife? Why hasn’t he gone crazy or found some peace in all of this time? So I watch a lot of anime and I often get these answers in the story or it will come in a prequel series that will focus on these characters to help develop their stories. After all of this, I am satisfied with the movie and I am happy that the movie was left open for a sequel. 

Overall I was not that moved by the movie. I saw it but it is kinda forgettable to me, it was not a bad move but it just did not work for me. But when the sequel comes out I will go watch it. I want to see where this story will go and how the writers plan on evolving the story for the next movie. 

So it finally happened, I finally saw Marvel The Eternals, and was surprised I liked it. Now you know the secret, are there some things that I was confused about? Yes!! So for the average moviegoer, I think you would be at a small disadvantage but it doesn’t take away from the movie as a whole. You could take the time to look into the characters for their back story but it is not necessary because it is given to you in flashbacks. Before I saw the movie I checked out the comic book history and saw a lot of easter eggs in the movie. So I am very excited for the future movies to come. 

There are a lot of new heroes that were introduced and a lot of history for the Marvel universe. The Celestials were introduced and we are heading out into space again, with all of this going on it makes me wonder if we will see The Guardians Of The Galaxy in a future Eternals movie or vice versa. This was a huge move and it is over two hours long but it is worth the watch.

I am very happy with the final product. 

By now I am sure that this is not the only article that you have read about The Eternals and everyone always talks about the flow of the movie. It was good, but I wish that it was more similar to a Batman Year One movie style. I want to see more of how all the characters got to the place they end up and I could be asking for something that is planned for the future in a different format. But I am not an insider at Disney with all of the info. So we will all have to play the guessing game and see what the future holds until then.
